Today’s post was inspired by our parents, today is their 38th anniversary! We know we are a bit biased π but God has blessed us with the two most loving parents ever. These two have been the greatest example of what a healthy, happy, and loving marriage looks like. Their Christ-centered marriage has shown us God’s love through their unconditional love, sacrifice, and service towards one another. Thank you Mom and Dad for showing us how to do marriage right. We love you!

We often struggle with what to get couples as a gift for their anniversary, whether it be out parents, our in-laws, or our friends, it can be hard to come up with the perfect gift. We brainstormed a number of ideas and are going to go through them below. We hope this helps you when you are buying for your loved ones on their anniversary.
Gift Ideas:
Map Wall Art – This etsy shop creates the most beautiful wall art pieces to display maps. How special to get the happy couple a map of where they said their vows, where they met, or a special vacation spot that they frequent.
Personalized Stationery – We adore this sea script monogrammed flat note stationery. Everytime the recipients hand write a note to someone, they will be so grateful that you thought of this sweet gift.
Keepsake Frame – This sweet keepsake frame is a wonderful option to make your gift extra personalized. Kelly actually has one of these for each of her boys. She got them when the boys were dedicated at church. Each frame has their own Bible verse on them that was chosen specifically for the boys. The frames are an extremely special keepsake for her!
Personalized Dinner Napkins – These napkins would elevate any tablescape! Monogramming them with the couples initials, or the first letter of their last name, is a beautiful way to show you parents (or whoever you are buying for) that you love celebrating them.
Virtual Wine Tasting – Date nights are a bit more challenging these days, so why not set up a date night for your parents at home?! This virtual wine tasting is a great option to provide a safe, comfortable, and different quarantine date night.
Virtual Cooking Class – Your parents aren’t into wine? No problem! Gift them with a virtual cooking class for their date night in, it is another great option for those celebrating during this time of staying home.
Portrait – The gift we ending up going with for our parents! Read below to hear about our experience working with J Fleur Illustrations.
This year for our parents’ anniversary gift, we worked with Jenny of J Fleur Illustrations to create a portrait of them from their wedding day. Working with Jenny from start to finish was flawless. She was able to work with our timeline, asked us questions along the way to make sure we were happy, and provided us with a perfect end result. For those of you who are not local to Chicago, no need to worry! You can email Jenny the photograph you want made into a portrait and it can be shipped to you upon completion. We surprised our parents with this gift last night and were thrilled with their reaction. Such a sweet, special gift.
In addition, Jenny specializes in custom portraits of your loved ones and loved spaces. We love her sibling portraits, engagement portraits, family portraits, and custom home portraits! Check out a few of her pieces below and more on her Instagram @jfleur.illustrations
