Today we wanted to highlight this awesome outdoor playhouse! It has quickly become one of Kylie’s favorite outdoor toys and I love the spontaneous language and imaginary play we get from her when we are outside. There are so many fun accessories that come with this playhouse; a toy phone, play sink, and oven and so many accessories we plan on still adding (read below)! This exact model is from Walmart but we have linked other options below.
The playhouse was originally a Cedar color (see the before pics!) and our husbands graciously helped us put the house together. Once it was built, we all had a hand in painting it (primer first!). It was such a fun project for us all to do together and we love how the paint turned out!
Some accessories we are going to add:
- A chair or two for the snack window
- A pretend play mailbox
- Additional kitchen items (toy food & a blender)
- Flower pots with flowers for up front
- Watering can
- A door number
This has been such a fun addition to our backyard (and a lifesaver during these quarantine days!) If you are in the market for some fresh outdoor play ideas we highly recommend a playhouse. This one from Amazon has great ratings and this one from Home Depot looks so fun!
