Hopefully spring and summer weather will come (and stay) soon in Chicago. Summer weather is my absolute favorite and it is my favorite season for clothing too (for me and my children). The Velasco household is officially out of the baby stage in all areas, even clothes. Since Preston is potty trained, he is now grown out of the jon jons, sunsuits, and bubbles (my mama heart is so sad). All three boys are now in the same type of clothes, so I figured I would share what I dress them all in during the warmer months.
My favorite places to buy the boys clothes are Vineyard Vines, Hope & Henry, and H&M. Items at these places are well made and have lasted through each boy wearing them (except jeans – we tear through jeans within 3 months of purchasing them, any other moms feel my pain?!). One perk of buying summer clothes, the shorts last more than one year. I definitely prefer a shorter short on boys and buying them in their current size means that the shorts will fit them next summer as well. All of the items I have gathered are items we currently have or that I will be buying for the boys, hope you find something for your little boys!
Orange Tee – this is the shirt that the boys are wearing in the. pictures. It comes in so many bright, fun colors!
Khaki Shorts – you can never have too many plain shorts. These are perfect for school, play, and dressing up. We have them in 4 colors
Blue Striped Polo – this polo is ideal for hot summer days, it is a performance material so your little ones won’t be as hot while wearing it
Bright Blue Polo – you can’t beat the price point on this H&M polo (comes in a handful of colors)
5 Pack Tees – once again, H&M with the price point win. We always buy their 5 pack tees (short and long sleeve) and I am loving the colors in this pack!
Gray Performance Shorts – these are the shorts the boys have on in the picture. Again, the performance material keeps them cool on hot days
Light Blue Polo – love the textured tonal stripe on this one (hard to see in this picture)
Pink Shorts – pink shorts (or top or anything really) for the win! I love adding pink to the boys wardrobe
