Even though holiday parties may not be happening as they usually do this year, you still may be attending some type of gathering in the coming days/weeks. In which case you’ll need a gift for the hostess. If you are hunkering down at home, then you are the host… in which case you’ll need to get yourself a hostess gift! Regardless, it sounds like you will need a gift for the hostess. We have rounded up our top gifts, ranging from pretty general to more personal and varying in prices – you are sure to find a gift here that you might need!
They are the ones who watch your kids, teach your kids, care for your kids so spoiling them with gifts is definitely necessary this time of year! If you haven’t guessed it by now, today we are rounding up gifts for caregivers. This can be anyone from a nanny, teacher, daycare worker, neighbor…you get the idea!
This year we decided to put together gift bags for our caregivers. We bought these adorable gift bags and tissue paper from Target and filled them with some of our favorite things. We started with this lip set from Tarte Cosmetics. We love Tarte Cosmetics because it’s a clean brand; free of parabens and mineral oil and it’s also cruelty free. We also added this Essential Oils Shower Steamer to each bag. These make your shower feel like a spa! It’s a eucalyptus and mint scent and makes your shower feel so luxurious! Lastly, we added this face mask to each gift bag. It’s a single use mask that moisturizers, de-puffs, and diminishes dark spots. We hope these bags put a smile on their faces and make them feel special and pampered…they deserve it!
Some other ideas for caregivers and ones we have gifted in the past included:
This luxurious body lotion. It’s lightweight but still extremely moisturizing and perfect for this dry weather season.
Yesterday we shared a handful of items that you could gift yourself this holiday season & today is all about giving to others! It is so easy to get wrapped up in all the things that we want but it is SO important to GIVE to others. Today we are focusing on the mail carriers and delivery workers of all kinds. The amount of packages that we get is ridiculous. When we were renovating our master, our contractor even mentioned that he had never been to a house where so many packages were delivered regularly… sorry Rob!
With the amount of deliveries that people get it’s hard to thank everyone, some come everyday and some less frequently. We started making a basket for delivery workers and have added items that they can easily grab while they drop a package at our front door. While this is not a new tradition for us, what is new is the adorable sign we got this year! While ordering my Christmas Cards I saw this sweet little sign that I thought would be perfect for our gift basket set up. I was so excited when it came in the mail – it was just what I wanted. If you order now, you will receive a digital download – so it will be ready to go at an easy click of a button!
The boys helped me put the treat basket together this year. We had so much fun AND they learned an important lesson about giving back – a win, win! If you are interested in more ways to give back this holiday season – we have a post coming mid December about that, so be on the lookout!
We’ve heard it over and over this year, 2020 has been quite the year. And you *almost* made it through… celebrate by buying something for YOURSELF this holiday season! Whether you have adjusted to working from home, learning how to be mom & teacher, or both – you deserve a little (or big) treat. So we’ve rounded up a number of our favorite items and some that are on our wishlists. Happy shopping!
Silk Pillowcase – improve your skin and my hair while you’re sleeping! I have and LOVE!

The constant question that runs through my head is “what do they even want?!” I want their gift to be thoughtful and from the heart yet enjoyed by them! I’ve complied a list of gifts from the past, some that I have my eye on for this year, and ones that girlfriends have suggested and would really recommend of any these for the parents in your life!
