Top 20

It is so hard to believe that we are now officially over half way through 2022. We wanted to round up your favorite items that we have posted about so far this year! There is something for everyone on this top 20 list. From clothing items for you to a piggy bank for your little ones, this list is all over the board – and I love it! So here it is, the top 20 of the year so far.

one thing that I love about this list is that we have everything (except 2 items) from this list
  1. This blue and white dress is a go to of mine. It’s easy, it’s comfortable, it’s appropriate for pretty much any occasion, and it has been the number one purchase by you all this year!
  2. You all went crazy over this handbag! And for good reason, it could not be prettier (and also super affordable).
  3. This backless pink dress was a hit after I wore it in the Cayman Islands. I love that if you throw on a denim jacket you can easily wear it to work, church, or anywhere!
  4. The best Free People sweater dupe! Trust me. Buy it now, and you’ll be obsessed this fall.
  5. This Packit has been a lifesaver this summer! Anyone else?
  6. Double chin reducer – it really works. Trust me.
  7. Our favorite (and now yours) summer pajamas. If you haven’t snagged your little, or big, ones a set then do it!
  8. I could not be more obsessed with this visor. Major perk – it is packable!
  9. This little bench was such a fun purchase when we got it, and it still is! I love the little table that pops up, it is super practical.
  10. I wore this dress for Easter and I think it is absolutely precious. It is pretty, comfortable, and flattering for all!
  11. This ABC Busy Box was a hit with all three boys! This craftivity is great because kids learn to follow (picture) directions and after a couple they were able to do this completely independently (even Preston, my 3 year old!).
  12. This Spanx top is another top that you need to buy to have ready for the fall! It is perfect for work, errands, or running around with the kids.
  13. The cutest block letter toddler baseball cap. This is one on the list that we do not own, but we may have to get them!
  14. The creativity that happens with the boys while using these foam blocks is truly amazing. They build, create, and imagine all the things with these blocks.
  15. One of my favorite purchases of the year so far are these give, save, spend piggy banks. We firmly believe that all money taken in should be divided into three: 10% give back to God, 10% save, and the rest is to spend on whatever! This little piggy bank has made teaching this system to the boys so much easier.
  16. This floral dress just makes me want to twirl! It is so fun – perfect for a party or a date night.
  17. These shoes are the 2nd item on this list that we do not own, but we love these shoes nonetheless! Maybe I need to get them for Rob?!
  18. I just posted this red dress recently, and I also bought it for the 4th of July! I love it so much and will post it more after this weekend.
  19. The toothpaste cap that saves your counters from a toothpaste mess! Highly recommend.
  20. Another item I just recently posted was this stain remover that we use. If you don’t trust me, then trust the over 18,000 5 star reviews on Amazon.

Blue Matching Set

Blue Matching Set

We recently had family pictures and our color story for this go around was blues, tans, and white (the easiest and prettiest IMO). I wore this matching skirt set from Pink Lily and could not have been more pleased with it! It photographed so well, was light and breezy for the hot summer day, and was easy to move around in. I work my Sarah Flint Mirjana Wedges in the Saddle Vachetta color (use my code SARAHFLINT-BATHEMERIDIANBLISS for $50 off your first order)!

Pink Lily has just recently dropped a new summer collection and I am loving it! See below for some of my favorites. Use the code JUNE25 for 25% off your order.

They are also having their summer sale right now! If you use the code SUMMER30 you will get 30% off select dresses, skirts, rompers, and jumpsuits! See my favorites below.

Baby Shower Outfit Idea

Baby Shower Outfit Idea

Last weekend I had a baby shower for one of my friends and we had the best time celebrating her and her precious little girl. I don’t know if it was the baby shower, or the fact that I am over winter, but it made me crave spring and warm temperatures even more than I typically do! Although it is still cold here in Chicago, I tried to make my winter baby shower look as springy as possible.

I wore this adorable jumper from Pink Lily with the white bodysuit underneath it (also from Pink Lily). I paired this outfit with my favorite Marc Fisher booties and an old Kate Spade handbag.

I put together an outfit option that I love for a spring baby shower (or brunch, date night, anything!). I found similar items at two different price points.

Here are the details for the items on the splurge list.

Lilac Sweater

Lilac Sweater

I have been wearing this Loft sweater on repeat since I got it last month! I love the color, I adore the puff sleeves, and the buttons elevate this sweater a couple notches. I have worn this sweater to work, to church, and out to dinner. You can see here I paired it with flared jeans but it would also look adorable with skinny jeans or the spanx leather skinny pants. I also love that this sweater could easily be dressed up by pairing it with a skirt (this faux leather one would be adorable) and heels.

The best part is… this sweater is on sale right now! The lavender color I have (and the heather grey color) are both are $54.99 BUT if you us the code JOY at checkout you will get 50% off and free shipping. And they also have it in a beautiful bright blue ($60.00 and 50% off & free shipping with the code JOY) color too.

It is hard to believe that Thanksgiving is next week! We have our table ready, the menu done, and now we are working on outfits! This outfit that I am wearing here is all old and from my closet, but it totally gives me Thanksgiving vibes. If you still need something to wear for the holiday – no need to worry… Amazon to the rescue! You are guaranteed to get these pieces with plenty of time between now and then, and they are extra cute!

What are you planning on wearing for the upcoming holiday?!

(Faux) Leather Season

(Faux) Leather Season

Fall is the start of (faux) leather season, and I always love adding a piece or two to my wardrobe each year. This year I bought this faux leather skirt from Loft and I love it. I would recommend sizing down if you are between sizes and want it a bit more fitted. I am usually a solid size small and could have easily gotten the x-small in this skirt. Right now this skirt is 30% off with the code FESTIVE which bring is from almost $70 to under $50!

Aside from being adorable, I love that I could wear it with sneakers to run around town, dress it up with boots or booties (like I did here) for a holiday party, or even wear it with a pair of mules to work. Is the paperbag waist not your thing? Not to worry, Loft has another faux leather skirt that will be available soon!

Want more faux leather? See some other options I’ve found below!

Lulu’s Wedding Guest Dresses

Lulu’s Wedding Guest Dresses

I am heading out of town this weekend for a wedding in North Carolina. It will be so nice to spend the weekend at the beach, celebrating with family and friends! As I was looking for dresses, I kept coming back to the Lulu’s website – they have such great choices and at such great prices! I figured I would show you all a little Lulu’s wedding guest dress try on haul to give you some inspiration for upcoming weddings you might have.

This first dress is adorable and not a style I typically gravitate towards, but I love it! There is currently a waitlist for this dress but I found a similar one here. I love how the forest green color is appropriate to wear year round. The cut out in the front adds an elegant flare to the dress and the larger keyhole cut out in the back is a stunner.

The second dress I got, I have already worn to a wedding we had a couple weeks ago. This one might be my favorite! This vibrant red orange color is perfect for the autumn season. It is comfortable, flattering, and easy to dance in! The only thing that is hard about this dress … tying the gorgeous bow in the back. I have to say, it is possible to do it on your own but I would highly recommend having someone there (who is good at tying pretty bows) to do it for you. When I wore this dress, I received so many compliments – it is a beauty – and at under $60, it’s a no brainer!

This final dress is the one that I am wearing this weekend. Although this light blue color that I purchased is sold out, there are many other colors available. I love the navy blue option, the forest green color is also pretty, and you can never go wrong with a little black dress! Once again, the back of this dress is beautiful and the lace detail throughout is amazing!

There were SO many options at Lulu’s, these were just three favorites of mine. If you are in need of great quality, adorable dresses that won’t break the bank – head to Lulu’s! You won’t regret it! Which look is your favorite?!

Tie Front Ruffle Dress

Tie Front Ruffle Dress

Last year around this time we posted and wrote about this dress, and over the past year this blog post has been the top viewed and clicked on post. We wanted to give that post an update, since that Vici dress is no longer in stock. Since you all loved that dress so much, we went on the hunt to find similar style dresses. The Vici dress I bought last year is a pretty good dupe of the beautiful Rhode Ella Dress, but at a significantly lower price. We found 8 dresses that are currently available (and at great price points!) and have a similar style/feel as either the Vici dress I am wearing in the picture or the Rhode Ella Dress.

Which one is your favorite?

Blue & White Dress

Blue & White Dress

When I posted a picture of me in this dress on our instagram account the other week, you all LOVED it! I received a number of questions and requests for the link so I figured I would give it a permanent spot here for you to refer back to if you wanted.

I got this dress from Shein. If you don’t know about the website Shein, don’t look until you have time to scroll, and scroll, and scroll. Because you will end up on the site for a while, your cart will be FULL, and you will be amazed at the prices.

I have worn this dress a handful of times and each time people have loved it, and so do I! The colors, the tie straps, the smocked chest – I could go on an on. It totally gives off the feel of being way pricier than it actually is. It looks very similar to this Zimmermann dress, this Rhode Ollie dress, and this MacGraw Florence dress… but without the pricetag. When ordering from Shein, you do have to make sure to look at the size chart for all items (my size varies their depending on the item) but this dress definitely fits true to size. I am in a small, my normal size.

Where is your favorite place to shop at great prices?!

Summer Date Night Looks

Summer Date Night Looks

Summer nights out with our husbands are our favorite! We love getting dressed up and having one on one time with them. For summer date nights, the outfit options are endless. We put together 4 different looks to help inspire you for your next date night.

  1. Shorts
We love the simplicity of shorts for a date night. Pairing denim shorts with a dressier tank and wedges or a pair of heels dresses up the outfit just enough! I am wearing these shorts, a similar tank, and similar wedges.

2. Dress
If you know me at all, you know that I would live in dresses if I could! Having three small, active boys means I don’t get to wear them as regularly as I like to. That being said, date nights for me – I will usually always be wearing a dress. Depending on where we are going I will dress it up with heels or wedges or dress it down with sandals. I am wearing this dress here.

3. Romper
I never underestimate a good romper! I love a good romper and always find myself reaching for mine. Rob and I had a dinner event for a nonprofit we support last night and I wore *almost* this exact outfit. I absolutely adore this romper!

4. Skirt
You can never go wrong with a skirt on a date night in the summer months. I love this skirt and will find any excuse to wear it.
